Software Architect | MITCHDesigns - MyZouk (2012)
Overview
MyZouk was an online marketplace and curated classifieds platform dedicated to high-value luxury assets, including exotic automobiles, marine yachts, luxury real estate, and high-end collectibles. Contracted through digital agency MITCHDesigns, this project delivered the core application architecture and listing management engine.
Served as Software Architect, providing the foundational custom PHP MVC framework, designing extensible database schemas, and guiding developers through implementation. Engineered a dynamic attribute data model capable of handling vastly different technical specifications across diverse asset categories (e.g. engine displacement and mileage for supercars vs hull length and mooring specs for boats) without requiring rigid schema alterations.
Key Technical Challenges & Architecture
- ->Dynamic Multi-Category Attribute Modeling: Modeled a normalized, extensible attribute schema within MySQL to support heterogeneous technical specifications across luxury vehicles, marine craft, and real estate.
- ->Buyer Inquiry Routing & Seller Workflows: Designed structured lead generation workflows, routing prospective buyer inquiries securely to private sellers and dealership brokers.
- ->High-Resolution Media Presentation: Implemented structured image compression and lazy-loaded galleries to showcase luxury asset photography smoothly across desktop and mobile devices.
- ->Architecture Governance & Coaching: Provided ongoing architectural oversight to agency developers, ensuring adherence to MVC separation of concerns and indexed query patterns.
